Circle Island-via North Shore
Bus to Board: 
  • 52 Wahiawa-Circle Isle
  • 55 Kaneohe-Circle Isle

On Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana Center, or 42 Ewa Beach and ride to the Ala Moana Center. Transfer at the center to either the 52 Wahiawa-Circle Isle or the 55 Kaneohe -Circle Isle. The 52 Wahiawa-Circle Isle bus will travel west, passing Downtown, Mililani, Wahiawa , Haleiwa, Waimea, Pupukea and Sunset Beach before taking a brief rest at the Turtle Bay Hilton. At Turtle Bay Hilton, the 52 sign will change to read 55 Honolulu - Ala Moana. After a brief stopover, this bus will continue toward Kahuku, Laie, Hauula, Kaaawa, Kualoa Park , Kahaluu, Kaneohe and through the Pali tunnels back to the Ala Moana Center . The 55 Kaneohe-Circle Isle bus travels the same route in the opposite direction. At Turtle Bay Hilton, the 55 sign will change to read 52 Honolulu -Ala Moana. 

Approximate travel time is four and a half hours. The 8, 19, 20, 23 and 42 run frequently. The 52 and 55 Circle Isle buses run 30 minutes apart each with limited evening service.

 
Circle Island-via South Shore

Bus to Board:
  • 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park

On Kalia Road, Saratoga Road or Kuhio Avenue, you may board the 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park bus. This bus will travel to Kahala Mall and then travel along Kalanianaole Hwy to Hawaii Kai. It will then travel through Kalama Valley and then to Sea Life Park. At Sea Life Park, you will either continue on the same bus (the 23 sign will change to read 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana) or you will have to change to 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana.
The bus will travel along Kalanianaole Hwy through Waimanalo, Enchanted Lake, Kailua town then through the Pali tunnels to the Ala Moana Center. From the Ala Moana Center, change to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels on Kona Street. 

Approximate travel time is 2 and a half hours. The 23 and 57 run about 30 minutes to an hour apart on weekdays, and once an hour on weekends. The 8, 19 and 20 run about 10 minutes apart. 
Diamond Head Crater  Link to Destination

Bus to Board:
  • 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays)
  • 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park
On Kuhio Avenue , board the 23 or 22 (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays) Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park to the crater entrance at Diamond Head Road and 18th Avenue . 

Bus to Return: 
22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays)
23 Waikiki-Ala Moana

To return, stand on Diamond Head Road across from where you got off and wait for the 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana or 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays).


Approximate travel time is 30 minutes. Buses run about 30 minutes apart.

 
The Gold Coast

Bus to Board: 
  • 14 Maunalani Heights
On Kalia Road , Saratoga Road or Kuhio Avenue heading in the Diamond Head direction, you may board the 8, 19, 20 or 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park , 42 Waikiki Beach Hotels or E CountryExpress ! Waikiki to and ride to Kapahulu Avenue . You may also board the 4 University-Waikiki, 2 Waikiki-Kapiolani Park or 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays) on Kuhio Avenue and ride to Kapahulu Avenue.  Transfer to the 14 Maunalani Heights bus. This bus will drive through the Diamond Head and Kahala residential areas, and will also pass Kahala Mall.
Bus to Return: 
  • 14 St. Louis Heights

To return, board the 14 St. Louis Heights bus and ride to Paki Avenue and Monsarrat Avenue . Transfer to the 2 School-Middle Street, 4 Nuuanu- Dowsett, 4 Nuuanu-Pauoa, 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport-Pearlridge, 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays), 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana Center, 42 Ewa Beach

or E CountryExpress ! Ewa Beach .

Approximate travel time is 30 minutes. The 2, 4, 8, 19, 20, 22, 23, 42 and E run less than 10 minutes apart. The 14 runs once an hour.
