Route 88A North Shore Express

Effective Sunday, December 13, 2020, eastbound service for Routes 11, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 88A will be rerouted from Hotel Street to the King Street Bus Only Lane.  There is no change to westbound service on Beretania Street.  See the map below for details.

Routes 11, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 88A provide service between outlying areas and Honolulu.  Rerouting to the King Street Bus Only Lane reduces travel times for these lengthy routes and less routes on Hotel Street improves travel times for the other routes.  All other routes serving Hotel Street will not change.

Regular Routes

WESTBOUND:  Kamehameha/Avocado or Kamehameha/Honomanu to Turtle Bay Resort to Ala Moana Center:   DISPLAYING “88A EXPRESS-Wahiawa-N. Shore-AMC”, TheBus will travel from Kamehameha, (must service Leeward College bus stop), veer to right and take on-ramp to continue on Kamehameha, right California, left into Wahiawa Transit Center to service appropriate bus stop, exit right Center, left Cane, left Kilani, right Kamehameha, left Kuilima Dr to the hotel guard shack.  After passing the guard shack, TheBus will take the first right into Parking Lot C, take another right into the parking area immediately along Kuilima Dr.  DISPLAYING “88A EXPRESS AMC via Kahekili”, TheBus will operate regular “LOCAL” service via Kuilima Dr, left Kamehameha, right Kahekili to Kahekili/Kulukeoe, continue via right Likelike (service stop at Likelike/School), take on-ramp to H-1 EAST, take EXIT 21A "PALI HWY", right Pali, onto Bishop, left Ala Tower Dr, Ala Moana, left Piikoi, right Kona to the appropriate terminus.

EASTBOUND:  Ala Moana Center to Turtle Bay Resort to Alapai Transit Center:  DISPLAYING “88A EXPRESS-N. Shore-Alapai TC ”, TheBus will operate regular “LOCAL” service via Kona to the appropriate bus stop, right Mahukona, right Atkinson, right Ala Moana Blvd, Nimitz, right Alakea to Alakea/Hotel, operate “EXPRESS” service via Alakea, Queen Emma, left Vineyard Blvd, onto H-1 WEST, take EXIT 20A "LIKELIKE HWY", onto Likelike (service stop at Likelike/School), take Kahekili exit, onto Kahekili, service ALL BUS STOPS from Kahekili/Kulukeoe. At Kahekili/Kamehameha, continue onto Kamehameha, right Kuilima Dr to the hotel guard shack.  After passing the guard shack, TheBus will take the first right into Parking Lot C, take another right into the parking area immediately along Kuilima Dr., take the first left through the first row of parking stalls, take another left to exit parking lot, left onto Kuilima Dr, right Kamehameha, left Kilani, right Cane, right Center, left into Wahiawa Transit Center, exit right California, left Kamehameha, after Pearl Harbor Interchange, veer right to makai lane of Nimitz, Dillingham, right King, left Alapai Transit Center Diamond Head driveway to the layover area.

EASTBOUND:  Ala Moana Center to Turtle Bay Resort to Kamehameha/Honomanu:  DISPLAYING “88A EXPRESS N. Shore-Pearlridge”, TheBus will operate regular “LOCAL” service via Kona to the appropriate bus stop, right Mahukona, right Atkinson, right Ala Moana Blvd, Nimitz, right Alakea to Alakea/Hotel, operate “EXPRESS” service via Alakea, Queen Emma, left Vineyard Blvd, onto H-1 WEST, take EXIT 20A "LIKELIKE HWY", onto Likelike (service stop at Likelike/School), take Kahekili exit, onto Kahekili, service ALL BUS STOPS from Kahekili/Kulukeoe.
