AUGUST ROUTE MODIFICATIONS

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 22, 2021

 

As directed by the City and County of Honolulu, Department of Transportation Services, the following major modifications will be implemented effective Sunday, August 22, 2021.

 

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS – MAUNALANI

Weekday service to and from Waikiki will be discontinued before 8:00 a.m. and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to resemble pre-covid Waikiki service.  Route 14 will interline with Route 234 to provide a 6:55 a.m. and a 5:33 p.m. to Waialae Nui.

ROUTE 85, WINDWARD EXPRESS – KANEOHE

Weekday and State Holiday service reduced to one (1) A.M. eastbound trip at 6:05 a.m. and one (1) P.M. westbound trip at 4:15 p.m.

ROUTE 87, WINDWARD EXPRESS – KAILUA

Weekday and State Holiday service reduced to (one) 1 A.M. eastbound trip at 5:48 a.m. and one (1) P.M. westbound trip at 4:44 p.m.

ROUTE 94, VILLAGES OF KAPOLEI EXPRESS

Route 94 is being restructured and renamed to Route 94 Villages of Kapolei Express. 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel from Farrington Highway/Fort Barrette Road, Farrington Highway, right Kealanani Avenue, right Kumuiki Street, right Kamaaha Avenue, left Kaiau Avenue, onto Kekuilani Loop, right Kamaaha Avenue, right Kuloa Avenue, right Kealanani Avenue, right Farrington Highway, left Kualakai Parkway, right onto H-1 EAST, take EXIT 20B "VINEYARD BLVD", onto Vineyard Boulevard, operate regular "LOCAL" service via Vineyard Boulevard, right Liliha Street, left King Street, left Alapai Street, and then turn left Beretania Street.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel from Alapai Transit Center, right Alapai Street, left Beretania Street, right Liliha Street, left Vineyard Boulevard, onto H-1 WEST, take EXIT 3 “KUALAKAI PARKWAY”, operate regular "LOCAL" service via left Kualakai Parkway, right Farrington Highway, left Kealanani Avenue, right Kumuiki Street, right Kamaaha Avenue, left Kaiau Avenue, onto Kekuilani Loop, right Kamaaha Avenue, right Kuloa Avenue, right Kealanani Avenue, and then turn left Farrington Highway.

ROUTE 98A, WAHIAWA-MILILANI TRANSIT

Discontinued service to and from Waikiki.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular eastbound route to King Street/Punchbowl Street, then King Street, left Alapai Street, and then turn left Beretania Street to Beretania Street/Punchbowl Street.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel from Alapai Transit Center, right Alapai Street, left Beretania Street, and then continue the regular westbound route to Leilehua Golf Course Road/Opposite Wahiawa Park and Ride.

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS! E

Eastbound terminus relocated from Monsarrat Avenue/Kalakaua Avenue to Kapahulu Avenue/Kalakaua Avenue (Stop #4350).

ROUTE 41, KAPOLEI – EWA BEACH

Route 41 will run 60 minutes apart on Weekdays and State Holidays.

 

ROUTE 83, WAHIAWA TOWN EXPRESS

Route modification for Waialua trips due to Waialua Beach Road Bridge closure. 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular eastbound route to Waialua Beach Road/Goodale Avenue, then right Goodale Avenue, left Farrington Highway, left Kaukonahua Road, right around Weed Circle, right Waialua Beach Road, right Haleiwa Road, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular westbound route to Waialua Beach Road/Goodale Avenue, then right Goodale Avenue, left Farrington Highway, left Kaukonahua Road, right around Weed Circle, right Waialua Beach Road, right Haleiwa Road, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 95, KAPOLEI HOMESTEADS EXPRESS

New Route 95 will provide service to Kapolei Homesteads.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel from Kapolei Transit Center, right Wakea Street, right Kapolei Parkway, left Kamaaha Avenue, left Kakala Street, left Kunehi Street, right Kapolei Parkway, right Puainako Street, left Kamaaha Avenue, right Kapolei Parkway, left Kinoiki Street, right Kaneoneo Street, right Kekahili Street, right Kumaaiku Street, left Kinoiki Street, left Kapolei Parkway, left Kualakai Parkway, right on-ramp to H-1 EAST, take EXIT 20B "VINEYARD BLVD", onto Vineyard Boulevard, operate regular "LOCAL" service via Vineyard Boulevard, right Liliha Street, left King Street, left Alapai Street, and then turn left Beretania Street.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel from Alapai Transit Center, right Alapai Street, left Beretania Street, right Liliha Street, left Vineyard Boulevard, onto H-1 WEST, take EXIT 3 “KUALAKAI PARKWAY”, operate regular "LOCAL" service via left Kualakai Parkway, right Kapolei Parkway, right Kinoiki Street, right Kaneoneo Street, right Kekahili Street, right Kumaaiku Street, left Kinoiki Street, right Kapolei Parkway, left Kamaaha Avenue, right Puainako Street, left Kapolei Parkway, left Kunehi Street, right Kakala Street, right Kamaaha Avenue, right Kapolei Parkway, left Wakea Street, and then turn left Haumea Street.

ROUTE 416, KAPOLEI CIRCULATOR

Route 416 will be modified to provide service to Mehana at Kapolei.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular eastbound route to Kapolei Parkway/Kamokila Boulevard, right Kamaaha Avenue, left Kakala Street, left Kunehi Street, right Kapolei Parkway, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular westbound route to Kapolei Parkway/Fort Barrette Road, then left Kunehi Street, right Kakala Street, right Kamaaha Avenue, left Kapolei Parkway, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 521, WAIALUA – HALEIWA

Due to the route modification of the Waialua Beach Road Bridge closure, Route 521 will run 60 minutes apart.

Eastbound:   No detour.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialua Beach Road/Goodale Avenue, then right Goodale Avenue, left Farrington Highway, left Kaukonahua Road, right around Weed Circle, right Waialua Beach Road, right Haleiwa Road, and then resume the regular route.
