HONOLULU CENTURY BIKE RIDE

 

The HONOLULU CENTURY BIKE RIDE will be held on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24, 2023, starting at 5:00 a.m.  Approximately 2,100 participants are expected.  Monsarrat Avenue will be closed between Kalakaua Avenue and Paki Avenue for the start of the race.  Routes that terminate on Monsarrat Avenue will be detoured from 5:00 a.m. to approximately 8:15 a.m.  No other detours will be necessary.  The entire ride is expected to be completed by 5:00 p.m. 

 

AFFECTED ROUTES:

8, 42, W1, W2, & W3

AFFECTED AREA:

The ride will start at Kapiolani Park, proceed through Diamond Head, Hawaii Kai, and along the Windward Coast to Swanzy Beach Park.  Riders will return along the same route to the finish point at Kapiolani Park

5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., or unless as directed by Police

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 


ROUTE 8, MAKIKI-ALA MOANA-WAIKIKI

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI


 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, and then travel to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel from the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano, continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, left Kapahulu, and the resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE W1, WAIPAHU VIA FARRINGTON EXPRESS

ROUTE W2, WAIPAHU VIA PAIWA EXPRESS

ROUTE W3, KALIHI VIA SCHOOL STREET EXPRESS
