TRAFFIC ADVISORY – CONCRETE REPAIR ON KUHIO AVENUE BETWEEN KALAIMOKU STREET AND LAUNIU STREET

 

The CITY & COUNTY OF HONOLULU will be conducting an emergency roadway repair project on Kuhio Avenue between Kalaimoku Street and Launiu Street. Repair work will include saw cutting, removal of existing concrete pavement, excavation, installation of new pavement, striping, and pavement markers. The bus stop located at Kuhio Avenue / opposite Launiu Street (stop #4255) will be closed, starting on FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, 2024, THROUGH, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays (excluding Holidays).  Passengers may board buses at Kuhio Avenue / Lewer Street (stop #150) or at Kuhio Avenue / Seaside Avenue (stop #151). TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

2, 8, 13, 20, 23, 42, W1, W2, & W3

AFFECTED AREA:

No service to Kuhio Avenue / opposite Launiu Street (stop #4255).

DATES:

Friday, January 12, 2024, through Friday, February 2, 2024

TIME:

8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, unless directed by Police.

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:                    

 


ROUTE 20, WAIKIKI-ALOHA STADIUM

ROUTE 23, ALA MOANA-SEA LIFE PARK


ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Saratoga/Kalakaua, right Kalakaua, left Lewers, right Kuhio, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   No detour.


 


ROUTE W1, WAIPAHU VIA FARRINGTON EXPRESS

ROUTE W2, WAIPAHU VIA PAIWA EXPRESS


ROUTE W3, KALIHI VIA SCHOOL STREET EXPRESS
