ALA MOANA ELEVATED PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE PROJECT

 

 

THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Highways Division, will pour concrete for the elevated pedestrian walkway bridge on Ala Moana Boulevard. There will be a full closure of Ala Moana Boulevard in both directions, in the vicinity of Ward Avenue and Kamakee Street, on TUESDAY, MAY 21, 2024, AND WEDNESDAY, MAY 21, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.  Vehicular traffic for both directions will be detoured onto Auahi Street via Ward Avenue and Queen Street. Passengers may board buses on Auahi Street. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

20, 42, 60, 65, & 67

AFFECTED AREAS:

No service to Ala Moana Boulevard / Ahui Street (stop #953), Ala Moana Boulevard / Ward Avenue (stop #954), Ala Moana Boulevard / Oppsite Kamakee Street (stop #955), Ala Moana Boulevard / Kamakee Street (stop #764), Ala Moana Boulevard / Oppsite Queen Street (stop #956), Ala Moana Boulevard / Queen Street (stop #763).

TIME:

7:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., unless directed by Police.

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI


ROUTE 60, HONOLULU-KANEOHE-HALEIWA

ROUTE 65, HONOLULU-KANEOHE-AHUIMANU


ROUTE 67, HONOLULU-KAILUA-WAIMANALO



Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana/Ward, left Ward, right Auahi, right Queen, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana/Queen, right Queen, left Auahi, left Ward, right Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.
