SHINNYO-EN LANTERN FLOATING CEREMONY

The SHINNYO-EN LANTERN FLOATING CEREMONY will be held on MONDAY, MAY 27, 2024, at Ala Moana Beach Park. At approximately 6:00 p.m., Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Piikoi Street and Hobron Lane. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route. This event is expected to have more than 40,000 people.

AFFECTED ROUTES:	6, 20, 23, 42, 60, 65, 67, 88A & E
AFFECTED AREA:	No service in both directions on Ala Moana Boulevard between Piikoi Street and Hobron Lane.
DATE:	Monday, May 27, 2024
TIME:	From 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., or unless directed by Police.

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

ROUTE 6, PAUOA-WOODLAWN

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Auahi/Kamakee, left Kamakee, right Queen, onto Waimanu, left Piikoi, right Kona, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kona/Mahukona, left Mahukona, left Kapiolani, left Kamakee, right Auahi, and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 23, ALA MOANA-SEA LIFE PARK

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Mahukona/Atkinson, left Atkinson, right Kapiolani, right Kalakaua, right Ala Moana, left Kalia, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalia/Ala Moana, continue onto Ena, left Kalakaua, left Kapiolani, left Kona Iki, left Kona, and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 20, WAIKIKI-ALOHA STADIUM

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana/Piikoi, left Piikoi, right Kapiolani, right Kalakaua, right Ala Moana, left Kalia, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalia/Ala Moana, continue onto Ena, left Kalakaua, left Kapiolani, left Kamakee, right Ala Moana and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 60, HONOLULU-KANEOHE-HALEIWA

ROUTE 65, HONOLULU-KANEOHE-AHUIMANU

ROUTE 67, HONOLULU-KAILUA-WAIMANALO

ROUTE 88A, NORTH SHORE EXPRESS

Eastbound: No detour. 

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kona/Mahukona, left Mahukona, left Kapiolani, left Kamakee, right Ala Moana and then resume the route.

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS! E

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapiolani/Kamakee, continue on Kapiolani, right Kalakaua, right Ala Moana, left Kalia, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalia/Ala Moana, continue onto Ena, left Kalakaua, left Kapiolani, and then resume the regular route after passing Kamakee.
