H-1 FREEWAY WESTBOUND SALT LAKE

REHABILITATION PROJECT

 

The Hawaii Department of Transportation has continuous lane closures on the H-1 Freeway for the Salt Lake Rehabilitation Project. The roadwork will occur over the weekend for emergency bridge repairs and pavement reconstruction, starting at 8:00 p.m. on SATURDAY, JULY 6, 2024, THROUGH 6:00 p.m. on SUNDAY, JULY 7, 2024. During the roadwork, buses will be experiencing delays due to the slowdown of traffic on the H-1 Freeway. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

 

AFFECTED ROUTES: 

52, C, E, W1, & W2

AFFECTED AREA:

H-1 Freeway westbound between the Radford Drive overpass and Kahuapaani Street underpass.

STARTING:

8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024

ENDING:

6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, unless directed by Police.

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:


 


ROUTE 52, HONOLULU-MILILANI-HALEIWA        ROUTE C, COUNTRY EXPRESS! C



Eastbound:  No detour.

 

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Middle, right Middle, left Kaua, veer left to take Moanalua Frwy on-ramp, continue on Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 1C ‘H-1 WEST-PEARLCITY’, merge left onto H-1 Frwy West, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS! E

 

Eastbound:    No detour.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to H-1 Frwy/EXIT 19B ‘H201 WEST’ (H1/Moanalua split), take EXIT 19B ‘H-201 WEST’ FORT SHAFTER / AIEA, onto Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 1C ‘H-1 WEST-PEARLCITY’, merge left onto H-1 Frwy West, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE W1, WAIPAHU VIA FARRINGTON EXPRESS

ROUTE W2, WAIPAHU VIA PAIWA EXPRESS

 

P.M. Operations:  TheBus will travel the regular route to H1 Frwy/ EXIT 19B ‘H-201 WEST’ (H1/Moanalua split), take EXIT 19B ‘H-201 WEST’ FORT SHAFTER / AIEA, onto Moanalua Frwy, take EXIT 1C ‘H-1 WEST-PEARLCITY’, merge left onto H-1 Frwy West, and then resume the regular route.
