KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE

 

The KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE will be on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4, 2025.  The parade will begin at the entrance of the St. Louis/Chaminade campus, and continue east on Waialae Avenue to the corner of Koko Head Avenue and Waialae Avenue.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

 

AFFECTED ROUTES:

1, 1L, 7, 14, & 200

AFFECTED AREAS:

The eastbound lanes of Waialae Avenue will be contra-flowed from 3rd Avenue to Koko Head Avenue and abbreviated westbound service on Pahoa Avenue.

TIME:

5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., unless directed by Police.

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 

             ROUTE 1, KALIHI-KAHALA

ROUTE 1L, HALAWA-HAWAII KAI

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/3rd, When directed by HPD, veer into the eastbound contra-flow lane on Waialae (TheBus will not service Waialae stops in the contra-flow lane), returning to the regular eastbound lanes after crossing Koko Head.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/Koko Head; proceed cautiously.

 

ROUTE 7, KALIHI VALLEY-KAHALA

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/3rd, when directed by HPD, veer into the eastbound contra-flow lane on Waialae to Waialae/Koko Head (TheBus will not service Waialae stops in the contra-flow lane), continue on Waialae, right 13th, right Harding, left Koko Head, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Pahoa/16th, right 16th, crossover Harding, left Waialae, and then resume the regular route after crossing over Koko Head.

 

 

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS-MAUNALANI

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Pahoa/16th, right 16th, crossover Waialae, left Anuhea, right Koko Head, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   From Sierra/Waialae, use caution when turning left into the eastbound contra-flow lane of Waialae (TheBus will not service Waialae stops in the contra-flow lane), resuming regular route to Waialae/Koko Head, continue on Waialae, right 13th, right Harding, left Koko Head, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 200, KAPIOLANI PARK-PALOLO VALLEY

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Waialae/3rd, When directed by HPD, veer into the eastbound contra-flow lane on Waialae (TheBus will not service Waialae stops in the contra-flow lane) to Waialae/Palolo, use caution when turning left and crossing over into the westbound direction for contra-flow lane of Waialae, onto Palolo, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   No detour.
