COMMEMORATION AND PEACE MARCH
The ONIPA’A COMMEMORATION AND PEACE MARCH
will be on SATURDAY, JANUARY 17, 2026,
from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The procession will start at the Mauna’ala Royal Mausoleum, proceed makai on Nuuanu,
continuing to Beretania, left onto one makai lane of Beretania, right into the Kokohead lane of Richards, left onto one mauka lane of
King, and finish at the Iolani Palace. HPD will close the makai travel lanes on
Nuuanu Avenue, from Wyllie Street to Beretania Street. Approximately 7,000 marchers are expected to
participate. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:
ROUTE 4, NUUANU-PUNAHOU-McCULLY
Eastbound: From
the temporary terminus, TheBus will travel right Nuuanu, right Pauoa, right Funchal, onto Pali Hwy, continue
on Pali, onto Bishop, left King, and then resume the regular route.
Westbound: TheBus
will travel the regular route to Nuuanu/Pauoa, right Pauoa, right Funchal, onto Pali Hwy, right Kuakini to the temporary
terminus on the nearside of Kuakini/Nuuanu.
