DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY PARADE

The DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY PARADE will be on MONDAY, JANUARY 19, 2026. This First Amendment activity is expected to have 700 marchers, 30 vehicles, 4 floats, and 2 bands. The parade will begin at Ala Moana Regional Park, proceed onto Ala Moana Boulevard, onto Kalakaua Avenue, onto Monsarrat Avenue, ending at the Waikiki Shell parking lot. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

AFFECTED ROUTES:	8, 14, 42, 200, E, & W LINE
AFFECTED AREAS:	Abbreviated service in the Waikiki area from Ala Moana Boulevard/ Atkinson Drive to Kalakaua Avenue, onto Monsarrat Avenue.

TIME:	From 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., unless directed by Police.

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

ROUTE 8, MAKIKI-ALA MOANA-WAIKIKI

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Kapahulu, left Kapahulu, right Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano.

Westbound: From the temporary terminus, TheBus will continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, and then resume the regular route.

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS-MAUNALANI

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapahulu/Ala Wai, right Ala Wai, left Ohua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, right Noela, left Paki, right Kalakaua to make a left U-turn at the Dillingham Fountain, left Kalakaua, and then resume the regular route regular route.

Westbound: No detour.

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Ala Moana/Atkinson, left Atkinson, right Kapiolani, right Kalakaua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi to the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano.

Westbound: From the temporary terminus, TheBus will continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, left Kapahulu, right Kuhio, onto Kalakaua, right Pau, left Ala Wai, left Niu, onto Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route regular route after crossing Ena.

ROUTE 200, KAPIOLANI PARK-PALOLO VALLEY

Eastbound: No detour.

Westbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Paki/Kapahulu, cross over Kapahulu, onto Ala Wai, left Ohua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, right Noela, left Paki, right Kalakaua to make a left U-turn at Dillingham Fountain, left Kalakaua, and then resume the regular route regular route.

ROUTE W LINE

Westbound: From the temporary terminus at Leahi/Hinano, TheBus will continue on Leahi, right Monsarrat, right Paki, left Kapahulu [TheBus will service Kapahulu/Kuhio (stop #19)], right Kuhio, and then resume the regular route regular route.
