ROAD CLOSURE – KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY FOR AIEA SLOPE REPAIR

 

HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION will perform slope stabilization repair work to the slope under the Aiea Cemetery along Kamehameha Highway. As a result, the westbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway between the off-ramp to Aiea Access Road and the Moanalua Freeway on-ramp to Kamehameha Highway will be closed, beginning on TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.  This work will be conducted on weeknights only, weather permitting.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

 

AFFECTED ROUTES:

32, 40, 42, & 51

AFFECTED AREAS:

Road closure to westbound lanes of Kamehameha Highway between the off-ramp to Aiea Access Road and the Moanalua Freeway on-ramp to Kamehameha Highway.

DATES:

Tuesday, April 14, 2026, until further notice

TIME:

8:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., weeknights, or unless directed by Police.

ROUTE 40, HONOLULU-MAKAHA

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI


ROUTE 51, HONOLULU-WAHIAWA

 

 

Eastbound:    No detour.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Salt Lake, continue onto Aiea Access, left Moanalua, left Laulima, right Moanalua, onto Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 32, KALIHI TRANSIT CENTER-FOSTER VILLAGE-PEARLRIDGE

 

Eastbound:    No detour.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Salt Lake/Kamehameha, right Kamehameha, continue onto Aiea Access, left Moanalua, left Laulima, right Moanalua, onto Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route.
