HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC – UTILITY WORK AT BISHOP STREET / KING STREET

 

HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC COMPANY will replace and service equipment within an underground vault on Bishop Street. Therefore, the bus stop at Bishop Street / King Street (stop #835) will be closed on SATURDAY, MAY 9, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. During this work, the curb lane of Bishop Street between King Street and Merchant Street will be closed. Passengers may board buses at the Bishop Street terminus before Merchant Street.

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 

ROUTE 66, DOWNTOWN-KAILUA-AIKAHI

 

Eastbound:                TheBus will travel the regular route to Bishop/King, continue on Bishop, left Nimitz, left Alakea to temporary terminus at Alakea/Nimitz.

 

Westbound:               TheBus will travel from the temporary terminus, continue on Alakea, and then resume the regular route.
