ROAD CLOSURE – LANE STRIPING ON MOANALUA ROAD BETWEEN KAIMAKANI ROAD AND PUAKALA STREET

 

GRACE PACIFIC, LLC will perform lane striping work on Moanalua Road between Kaimakani Street and Puakala Street. Therefore, all bus stops within the affected work zone will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. on TUESDAY, MAY 12, 2026 THROUGH FRIDAY, MAY 15, 2026.  This work will be conducted on weeknights only, weather permitting.

54, & 551

AFFECTED AREAS:

No service to Kaimakani Street / Ulune Street (stop #1876), Kaimakani Street / Moanalua Road (stop #1877), Moanalua Road / Uahi Street (stop #1928), Kaimakani Street / Moanalua Road (stop #1929), and Kaimakani Street / Ulune Street (stop #1930).

TIME:

8:30 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., unless directed by Police.

 

Buses will DETOUR as outlined below:

 

ROUTE 54, HONOLULU-PEARLCITY

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Moanalua/Uahi (Wendys), right Uahi, right Laulima, left Moanalua, right Aiea Heights, right Halewiliko, left Ulune, and then resume the regular route after crossing Kaimakani.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Ulune/Kaimakani, continue on Ulune, veer right onto Halewiliko, left Aiea Heights, left Moanalua to Moanalua/Uahi (Wendys), right Uahi, right Laulima, left Moanalua, and then resume the regular route.

 

ROUTE 551, AIEA HEIGHTS- ALOHA STADIUM

 

Eastbound:    TheBus will travel the regular route to Salt Lake/Kamehameha, right Kamehameha, veer right to take onramp for H201 EAST ‘HONOLULU’, onto ‘H201 EAST’, take EXIT 1B ‘HALAWA/STADIUM’, take EXIT ‘HALAWA HTS’, left Kahuapaani, left Ulune, left Aiea Heights, left Moanalua to Moanalua/Uahi (Wendys), right Uahi, right Laulima, left Moanalua, and then resume the regular route.

 

Westbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Moanalua/Uahi (Wendys), right Uahi, right Laulima, left Moanalua to Moanalua/Honomanu, left Honomanu, left Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route after crossing Salt Lake.
