Ala Moana Beach Park and Magic Island  Link to Destination
Bus to Board:
  • 8 Ala Moana Center
  • 19 Airport-Hickam
  • 20 Airport-Pearlridge
  • 42 Ewa Beach
  • 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana  
  • E CountryExpress! Ewa Beach
From Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 42 Ewa Beach or E Country Express to the Ala Moana Center and cross Ala Moana Boulevard to the beach. 
Bus to Return:
  • 8, 19, 20, 23, 42 Waikiki Beach and Hotels
To return, walk through Ala Moana Center to Kona Street or Mahukona Street and board 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. You could also take the 42 Waikiki Beach and Hotels bus on Ala Moana Boulevard fronting Ala Moana Park , but service is limited in the evenings. Buses run frequently. 

Travel time is approximately 15-20 minutes. 

 
Bellows Beach  Link to Destination
Bus to Board:  
  • 57 Kailua - Sea Life Park
From Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 42 Ewa Beach or E Country Express to the Ala Moana Center.  At the center transfer to 57 Kailua - Sea Life Park .  Alight at the entrance to Bellows Beach . 

Bus to Return: 
  • 57 Kailua - Sea Life Park
To return, board 57 Honolulu -Ala Moana to the Ala Moana Center .  Change to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels.  Buses to and from Waikiki run frequently.  Route 57 runs 20 minutes to an hour apart.

Approximate travel time is 1 hour and 20 minutes. 

 
Hanauma Bay  Link to Destination
Bus to Board:
  • 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park (Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays and Route 22 does not operate)
On Kuhio Avenue in the Diamond Head direction, board the 22  Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park (Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays and Route 22 does not operate) and ride to Hanauma Bay. 


Bus to Return:

  • 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels (Bus dose not operate Tuesdays)
To return, board the 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels bus (Hanauma Bay is closed on Tuesdays and Route 22 does not operate).  22 runs once an hour on weekdays, twice an hour on weekends.  

Approximate travel time is 40 minutes. 

 
Kailua Beach Park  Link to Destination
Bus to Board: 
  • 57 Kailua - Sea Life Park
  • 57A Kailua-Keolu Drive
  • 57 Kailua-Waimanalo
From Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, or 42 Ewa Beach to the Ala Moana Center. At the center transfer to 57 Kailua - Sea Life Park , 57A Kailua-Keolu Drive or 57 Kailua-Waimanalo and ride to Kailua town to the junction of Kailua Road before Wanaao Road . It is only a short walk to the beach park. You may also wait for the 70 Lanikai bus to Kailua Beach Park , but service is limited (between an hour to an hour and a half apart). 
Bus to Return:
  • 56 Honolulu-Ala Moana
  • 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana
To return, take the 70 Maunawili to Kailua Road and Oneawa Street . Change to 56 or 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana. You may decide to walk back to main Kailua Road and take the 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana bus. Once at the Ala Moana Shopping Center , transfer on Kona Street to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. Buses to and from Waikiki run frequently. Route 57 runs 30-40 minutes apart. 
Approximate travel time to Kailua is one hour.

 
North Shore, including Haleiwa Town and Beach Park, Banzai
Pipeline and Sunset Beach  Link to Destination
Bus to Board:
  • 52 Wahiawa-Circle Isle
  • 55 Kaneohe-Circle Isle
From Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport-Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, or 42 Ewa Beach to the Ala Moana Center. Transfer to 52 Wahiawa -Circle Isle (approximate travel time to Haleiwa 2 hours) or 55 Kaneohe -Circle Isle (approximate travel time to Haleiwa 3 hours). 
Bus to Return:
  • 52 Honolulu-Ala Moana
To return, board 52 Honolulu -Ala Moana. Transfer at the center on Kona Street to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. Routes 52 and 55 each run 30 minutes apart with limited evening service.

 
Sandy Beach and Makapuu Beach Park Link to Destination
Bus to Board:
  • 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park (Bus does not Tuesdays)
  • 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park
From Kalia Road, Saratoga Road or Kuhio Avenue heading in the Diamond Head direction, you may board the 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park. You may also board the 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park  (Route 22 does not operate on Tuesdays) on Kuhio Avenue . Both buses will take you to Sandy and Makapuu beaches. 
Bus to Return:
  • 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays)
  • 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana
To return, board either the 23 Waikiki - Ala Moana Center or 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park  (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays). Routes 22 (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays) runs hourly on weekdays and every half hour on weekends. Route 23 run 30 minutes to an hour apart on weekdays, and hourly on weekends.
