Bus to Board:
From
Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from
Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20
Airport- Pearlridge, 23 or 24 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 42 Ewa Beach
or E Country Express! to the Ala Moana Center and cross Ala
Moana Boulevard to the beach.
To
return, walk through Ala Moana Center to Kona Street or
Mahukona Street and board 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and
Hotels, 23 Kahala Mall or Hawaii Kai Sea Life Park, 24 Kahala
Mall or Upper Aina Haina. You could also take 42 Waikiki Beach
and Hotels or E Country Express! Waikiki on Ala Moana
Boulevard fronting Ala Moana Park, but service is limited in
the evenings. Buses run frequently. |

Bus to Board:
From Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20 Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 24 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 42 Ewa Beach or E Country Express to the Ala Moana Center. At the center transfer to 57 Kailua-Sea Life Park or 57 Kailua-Waimanalo. Alight opposite the entrance to Bellows Beach.Bus to Return:
To
return, board 57 Honolulu-Ala Moana to the Ala Moana Center.
Change to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. Buses to
and from Waikiki run frequently. Route 57 runs 20
minutes to an hour apart. |
Hanauma Bay Link to Destination |
Bus to Board:
On Kuhio Avenue in the Diamond Head
direction, board the 22
Hawaii Kai-Sea Life Park (Bus
cancelled on Tuesdays) and ride to Hanauma Bay.
To
return, board the 22 Waikiki Beach and Hotels bus (Bus
cancelled on Tuesdays).22 runs once an hour on weekdays, twice an hour on weekends. |

Bus to Board:
From
Kuhio Avenue, Saratoga Road or Kalia Road heading away from
Diamond Head, board 8 Ala Moana Center, 19 Airport-Hickam, 20
Airport- Pearlridge, 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana, 24 Waikiki-Ala
Moana or 42 Ewa Beach to the Ala Moana Center. At the center
transfer to 57 Kailua-Sea Life Park, 57 Kailua-Waimanalo, 57A
Kailua-Keolu Drive or 56 Kailua-Kaneohe and ride to Kailua
Road/Hamakua Drive.
Change to 70 Lanikai to Kailua Beach Park, but service
is limited (between an hour to an hour and a half apart)
The alternate would be to take the Route 57 and ride to
Kailua Road/Aoloa. It is only a short walk to the beach park.
To
return, take the 70 Maunawili to Kailua Road and Oneawa
Street. Change to 56, 57 or 57A Honolulu-Ala Moana. You may
decide to walk back to main Kailua Road and take 57 or 57A
Honolulu-Ala Moana. Once at the Ala Moana Shopping Center,
transfer on Kona Street to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and
Hotels. Buses to and from Waikiki run frequently. Route 57
runs 30-40 minutes apart. |
North
Shore, including Haleiwa Town and Beach Park, Banzai Pipeline and Sunset Beach Link to Destination |
Bus to Board:
To return, board 52 Honolulu-Ala Moana. Transfer at the center on Kona Street to 8, 19 or 20 Waikiki Beach and Hotels. Routes 52 and 55 each run 30 minutes apart with limited evening service. |
Sandy Beach and Makapuu Beach Park Link to Destination |
Bus to Board:
From
Kalia Road, Saratoga Road or Kuhio Avenue heading in the
Diamond Head direction, you may board the 23 Hawaii Kai-Sea
Life Park. You may also board the 22 Hawaii Kai-Hanauma
Bay-Sea Life Park (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays) on Kuhio
Avenue. Both buses will take you to Sandy beach and closest to
Makapuu Beach.
To
return, board either the 23 Waikiki-Ala Moana Center or 22
Hawaii Kai-Hanauma Bay-Sea Life Park (Bus cancelled on
Tuesdays). Routes 22 (Bus cancelled on Tuesdays) runs hourly
on weekdays and every half hour on weekends. Route 23 run 30
minutes to an hour apart on weekdays, and hourly on weekends. |
