TRAFFIC ADVISORY: RE-PAVING OF WAIALAE AVENUE

Starting Monday, June 3, 2013, Jas. Glover, Ltd. will begin the progressive re-paving of Waialae Avenue, between the 17th Avenue and 15th Avenue. Two (2) westbound lanes will be closed each workday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a contra-flow traffic lane set up from the opposite lanes and then reversing the work area in the eastbound direction.

Phase 1 will be between 17th Avenue and Koko Head Avenue, with the westbound direction closed first. If needed, temporary bus stops may be installed based on recommendations from Field Operations. Each direction of work is estimated to take about 2 weeks in Phase 1. Eventually, all lanes of Waialae Avenue will be totally re-paved from 17th Avenue to Kapiolani Boulevard.
