HAWAIIAN ELECTRIC COMPANY WORK ON ROOKE BETWEEN HAWAII AND WYLLIE 

From MONDAY, MARCH 30, 2015, between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Hawaiian Electric Company will be installing new poles on Rooke Avenue between Hawaii and Wyllie Streets. 

AFFECTED AREA:

No eastbound service on Rooke between Hawaii and Wyllie.

PRINCE KUHIO COMMEMORATIVE PARADE 

The PRINCE KUHIO COMMEMORATIVE PARADE will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2015.   

Parade Route: Begin at the Kalakaua/Saratoga intersection and proceed eastbound along Kalakaua, onto Monsarrat, and end at the Waikiki Shell parking lot. 

Notes:  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

            During the parade, there will be no westbound service on Kalia Road.  All westbound

            passengers may to transfer to their desired westbound routes at Ala Moana/Ena. 

AFFECTED AREA:

No service on Saratoga, on Kalakaua from Olohana to Monsarrat, and on Monsarrat from Kalakaua to Paki.  Kalia will be serviced in the eastbound direction only.  Westbound passengers should board buses at Ala Moana/Ena.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel from the temporary terminus on Pau mauka of Kalakaua, proceed mauka on Pau, left Ala Wai, left Niu, left Kalakaua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, cross Monsarrat, right Noela, left Paki, right Kalakaua to make a left U-turn at Dillingham Fountain, left Kalakaua, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Kuhio/Olohana, continue on Kuhio, onto Kalakaua, right Pau to temporary terminus mauka of Kalakaua.  (Find a suitable area not blocking any driveways and activate 4-way flashers.) 

ROUTE 23, HAWAII KAI-SEA LIFE PARK 

Eastbound:   To Hawaii Kai/Sea Life Park – TheBus will travel the regular route to Kalia/U.S. Army Museum driveway, right counter-clockwise into U.S Army Museum driveway, service temporary bus stop inside circle, exit left Kalia, right Ala Moana, right Kalakaua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, left Monsarrat, and then resume the regular route.

The KAISER COMMUNITY FUN RUN/WALK will be held on SATURDAY, MARCH 28, 2015.   

Event Course: Start at Kaiser High School, right Lunalilo Home Road, left Wailua Street, right Hawaii Kai Drive, right Hahaione Street, left Pepeekeo Street, left Hawaii Kai Drive, right Wailua Street, right Lunalilo Home Road, left into Kaiser High School to finish line.  

TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

FARRINGTON HIGHWAY CLOSURE

OLD FORT WEAVER ROAD TO KUALAKAI PARKWAY  

 

Beginning MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2015, Farrington Highway will be closed from Old Fort Weaver Road to Kualakai Parkway, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (except eastbound Monday through Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.).

BOULEVARD ON/OFF-RAMP CLOSURES  

On SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2015, eastbound Exit 21 B “Punchbowl Street” off-ramp, westbound Lunalilo Freeway-Pali Highway on-ramp, and westbound Exit 22 “Vineyard Boulevard” off-ramp will be closed.

Beginning Tuesday, March 3, 2015, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, the eastbound lanes of Kona Street will be closed from Keeaumoku Street to Atkinson Drive from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday to Thursday due to construction.  Eastbound traffic on Kona Street will be detoured onto Keeaumoku Street.   TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.  

AFFECTED AREA:

No eastbound service on Kona Street from Keeaumoku Street to Atkinson Drive.

Beginning MONDAY, MARCH 31, 2014, for approximately one year, Swinerton Builders will be remodeling 677 Ala Moana Boulevard.  This work will result in the closure of the Ala Moana/Coral eastbound bus stop (#952).  A temporary bus stop will be located Diamond Head of Coral Street fronting Cutter Chevrolet.
