E. Manoa Rd. between Kahaloa and Alani will be closed from TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 2016, through THURSDAY 29, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. due to utility work.  All bus stops along the detour route will be serviced.

High School Homecoming Parades

 

Several public high school homecoming parades will be held during the month of September and into October.  These parades will travel along City bus routes which may impact bus operations.

 

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2016

 

WAIALUA HIGH SCHOOL STARTING AT 4:00 P.M.

Seven hundred marchers, twenty vehicles, ten floats, and two bands are expected to participate.  The vehicles will start at the school parking lot, proceed onto Farrington Hwy., left Kaukonahua, through Haleiwa Town, left Haleiwa Beach Rd., and right Waialua Beach Rd. The marchers will join the vehicles at the Waialua Recreation Center and proceed together onto Goodale, right Farrington Hwy., and end at the school gym. 

                                                            

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2016

 

MOANALUA HIGH SCHOOL STARTING AT 3:00 P.M.

Six hundred marchers, ten vehicles, one float, and a band are expected to participate.  The parade will start at MHS student parking lot, proceed onto Ala Ilima, right Ala Nanala, right Likini, right Ala Napunani, and end at MHS student parking lot. 

 

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2016

 

WAIPAHU HIGH SCHOOL STARTING AT 3:00 P.M.

Three hundred marchers, four vehicles, one float, and a band are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Waipahu High School, to Waipio Access Rd., onto Kahualii St., right Kahuaina St., left Kahuanani St., left Paiwa, onto Awanui, left Awalai St., left Waipio Access Rd., and end at Waipahu High School parking lot. 

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2016 

PEARL CITY HIGH SCHOOL STARTING AT 2:30 P.M.

Five hundred marchers, six vehicles, and a band are expected to participate.  The parade will start at Pearl City High School, onto Hookiekie St., left Hoomoana St., left Hoolaulea St., right Hoomaemae St., left Waimano Home Rd., and end at Pacheco Neighborhood Park. 

 


WESTBOUND CLOSURE OF KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY  

All westbound lanes of Kamehameha Hwy. from Salt Lake Blvd. to Honomanu will be closed on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2016, from 9:00 p.m. through 9:00 a.m., WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 2016, due to utility work.   All stops along the detour route will be serviced.

ROUTE 53, HONOLULU-PACIFIC PALISADES 

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Moanalua Freeway/Moanalua Rd, right Moanalua, left Pali Momi, right Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route.

 


WET’n’WILD HAWAII

CLOSED DAYS DETOUR

Effective:  Tuesday, 9/27/2016 – Wednesday, 12/14/2016 

Wet’n’Wild Hawaii is closed on most Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Therefore, effective Tuesday, 9/27/2016, scheduled service to the waterpark will be detoured on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, until 12/14/2016.   

Note:  Exception to the detour will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 11 and 12, 2016, as the waterpark will be open. 

DETOUR 

ROUTE 40, HONOLULU-MAKAHA

Eastbound:  TheBus will travel the regular eastbound route to EXIT 1A

“CAMPBELL INDUSTRIAL PARK/BARBER’S POINT HARBOR”, then detour right Kalaeloa, and then resume the regular eastbound route. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular westbound route to Kalaeloa/Farrington,

then detour left Farrington, and then resume the regular westbound route. 

 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

KANEOHE MARINE BASE – WEEKEND BACK GATE CLOSURE  

The back gate of Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed on weekends effective SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2016, until further notice.  All bus stops along the detour route will be serviced.

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to N.Kalaheo/Mokapu Rd., continue straight ahead onto Kaneohe Bay Dr., right onto access to Kaneohe Marine Base, onto John A. Burns Fwy., enter main gate, onto “G” St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left “G” St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 “KANEOHE BAY DRIVE”, left Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route.

                                                                                                  


ROUTE 44 DETOUR – GEIGER ROAD 

The Route 44 will be detoured eastbound due to roadwork and paving along Geiger Rd. from Kapolei Parkway, beginning TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2016, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapolei Parkway/Geiger, continue on Kapolei Parkway, left Launahele, left Geiger, and then resume regular route after crossing Kapolei Parkway. 

Westbound: No detour.

 


ROUTE E DETOUR – KONA STREET 

Beginning MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2015, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, Route E eastbound will be detoured to service the stops at Kona/Keeaumoku (farside), Mahukona/Atkinson and Ala Moana/Atkinson.    

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS! 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapiolani/Pensacola, continue on Kapiolani, right Kona Iki, left Kona, onto Mahukona, right Atkinson, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.
