LILIHA STREET REHABILITATION 

Buses will be detoured off Liliha St. between North King St. and Vineyard Blvd. in both directions from 8:30 a.m. FRIDAY, MAY 20, 2016, UNTIL 6:00 p.m. SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2016, due to road construction.  All bus stops along the detour route will be serviced.

P.M. Express Routes from Alapai Transit Center that travel along Liliha St:

KING KAMEHAMEHA DAY HOLIDAY 

KING KAMEHAMEHA DAY will be observed on Friday, June 10, 2016.  All City bus routes including Community Access Services will operate their STATE HOLIDAY SCHEDULES.

  • Regular express service will be provided to Joint Pearl Harbor Hickam Base.

 


MEMORIAL DAY SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE 

On Monday, May 30, 2016, the MAYOR’S MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.  Service at Punchbowl National Cemetery will commence at 8:30 a.m. and will last approximately one (1) hour. 

Two (2) Route 15 Makiki-Pacific Heights supplementary buses will provide four (4) trips to Punchbowl National Cemetery as follows: 

SCHEDULE

Buses will depart the Alapai Transit Center as follows:

                                                               7:00 a.m.

                                                               7:20 a.m.

                                                              7:40 a.m.

                                                              8:00 a.m.                                          

ROUTE DESCRIPTION

Note:  All bus stops along the route will be serviced.

Alapai Transit Center to Punchbowl National Cemetery (Destination Sign will read

“15 PUNCHBOWL”):  From the Alapai Transit Center, TheBus will travel right Alapai, right Kinau, left Ward, right Prospect, left Nehoa, left Auwaiolimu, left Hookui, left Puowaina, right Punchbowl Cemetery Road to the designated drop-off/parking area. 

Punchbowl National Cemetery to Alapai Transit Center (Destination Sign will read “ALAPAI TC”):  TheBus will exit Punchbowl Cemetery via right Puowaina (to service Papakolea), onto Tantalus, right Makiki Heights, right Mott-Smith, right Nehoa, onto Prospect, left Ward, right Kapiolani, right South, right King, and left into Alapai Transit Center. 

FARES AND TRANSFER PRIVILEGES

Regular fares and all bus passes accepted.  Transfers will be issued and accepted by all buses operating to and from the Cemetery. 

 


MEMORIAL DAY HOLIDAY 

MEMORIAL DAY will be observed on Monday, May 30, 2016.  All City bus routes including Community Access Services will operate their SUNDAY SCHEDULES. 

REMINDERS 

·       All express bus routes are CANCELLED except Routes A, C, E, W1, W2 and W3, which will operate their SUNDAY SCHEDULES. 

·       Supplementary Route 15 buses will be provided for the annual Mayor’s Memorial Day Service at Punchbowl.  

 


SALT LAKE BOULEVARD/KALALOA STREET DETOUR 

Salt Lake Blvd. will be closed in the westbound direction from Kalaloa St. to Kamehameha Hwy. between 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. on TUE.,  MAY 17, 2016 and again on SUN., MAY 22, 2016 until further notice.   

Note:  TheBus will service all stops along the detour route.

BUS STOP CLOSURE - FARRINGTON/PUPUKAHI WESTBOUND 

The bus stop located at Farrington Hwy./Pupukahi St., westbound (#462), will be closed for sidewalk repairs beginning TUESDAY, MAY 17, 2016, 24 hours a day / 7 days a week until further notice.  Passengers may board buses at Farrington Hwy/Leokane bus stop (#463).

KANEOHE MARINE BASE – SEWER LINE REPLACEMENT 

Beginning TUESDAY, MAY 3, 2016, until further notice, the intersection at Selden St. and Harris Ave. will be closed weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for sewer line replacement.  

Note:  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

OLD FORT WEAVER ROAD TO KUALAKAI PARKWAY  

Farrington Highway will be open from Old Fort Weaver Road to Kualakai Parkway beginning WEDNESDAY, November 25, 2015.

Limited service on Farrington Highway from Old Fort Weaver Road.

KANEOHE MARINE BASE – WEEKEND BACK GATE CLOSURE  

The back gate of Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed on weekends effective SATURDAY, MARCH 5, 2016, until further notice.  All bus stops along the detour route will be serviced.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to N.Kalaheo/Mokapu Rd., continue straight ahead onto Kaneohe Bay Dr., right onto access to Kaneohe Marine Base, onto John A. Burns Fwy., enter main gate, onto “G” St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left “G” St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 “KANEOHE BAY DRIVE”, left Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route.                  

                                                                                                  


FARRINGTON AT WAIAWA CONTRA-FLOW

 

Beginning WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 2016, until further notice, there will be road work associated with the rail project on Farrington Hwy., prior to Waiawa in the eastbound lanes. Eastbound traffic will be diverted onto the westbound lanes, which will require the closure of the westbound stop at Farrington/Waiawa (Leeward Community College).

ROUTE A, CITY EXPRESS! A

ROUTE 40, HONOLULU-MAKAHA

ROUTE 42, EWA BEACH-WAIKIKI

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Farrington/Waipio Point Access, continue on Farrington traveling in the far left lane to enter the crossover into the westbound lanes, right Waiawa, left Farrington, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:            No Detour. NOTE: TheBus will not service Farrington/Waiawa (LCC) bus stop. 

ROUTE 62, HONOLULU-WAHIAWA 

Eastbound: TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Waipahu St., right Waipahu, left Kahuanui, left Kahualii, left Farrington, continue on Farrington traveling in the far left lane to enter the crossover into the westbound lanes, right Waiawa, left Farrington, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  No Detour. NOTE: TheBus will not service Farrington/Waiawa (LCC) bus stop. 

 


ROUTE 44 DETOUR – GEIGER ROAD 

The Route 44 will be detoured eastbound due to roadwork and paving along Geiger Rd. from Kapolei Parkway, beginning TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2016, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Westbound: No detour. 

 


ROUTE E DETOUR – KONA STREET 

Beginning MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2015, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, Route E eastbound will be detoured to service the stops at Kona/Keeaumoku (farside), Mahukona/Atkinson and Ala Moana/Atkinson.    

ROUTE E, COUNTRY EXPRESS! 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapiolani/Pensacola, continue on Kapiolani, right Kona Iki, left Kona, onto Mahukona, right Atkinson, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.
