KALAHEO AVENUE AND KAILUA ROAD ROUNDABOUT IMPROVEMENTS
KIEWIT INFRASTRUCTURE WEST CO. will be continuing construction improvements to the Kalaheo Avenue and Kailua Road roundabout. The portion of Kalaheo Avenue at the roundabout will be closed, 24 HOURS A DAY / 7 DAYS A WEEK, starting from MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2023, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Throughout the duration of the work, all traffic heading both directions on Kailua Road will be detoured through Kuukama Street via Kainalu Drive. As a result, the bus route will be affected and will incur traffic delays throughout the work area. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

WESTBOUND H-1 FREEWAY CLOSURE FROM AIRPORT OFF-RAMP TO KAHUAPAANI STREET UNDERPASS
The Hawaii Department of Transportation has continuous lane closures on the westbound H-1 Freeway, between the H-1 Freeway Airport off-ramp to the Kahuapaani Street underpass for pavement rehabilitation work, starting at 5:00 a.m. on SATURDAY, JANUARY 21, 2023, THROUGH 2:30 a.m. MONDAY, JANUARY 23, 2023. During the closure, traffic will be detoured onto Kamehameha Highway. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY – HAROLD CHAPSON DIAMOND HEAD 8K RUN
The HAROLD CHAPSON DIAMOND HEAD 8K RUN will be held on SUNDAY, JANUARY 22, 2023. The run will begin at Monsarrat Avenue near Waikiki Shell parking Lot 1, travel onto Kalakaua Avenue, onto Diamond Head Road, to Paikau Street, runners to proceed counter clockwise around Fort Ruger Park (Triangle Park), back onto Diamond Head Road and return via same route to end at Kapiolani Park. This event is expected to have approximately 250 participants.

DILLINGHAM BOULEVARD OFF-RAMP CLOSURE
With ongoing rail work at the Middle Street Rail Station, there will be a full eastbound closure to the Dillingham Boulevard off-ramp on SUNDAY, JANUARY 22, 2023, THROUGH THURSDAY, JANUARY 26, 2023, from 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. All eastbound traffic from the H-1 Freeway will be diverted onto Middle Street and the Dillingham Boulevard access ramp from Nimitz Highway, will be diverted onto Nimitz Highway. TheBus will service any stops along the detour route.

ROAD & HIGHWAY BUILDERS will be resurfacing the road along Pali Highway Frontage Road, between Homelani Place and Kepola Place. The bus stops located at Pali Highway / Dowsett Avenue [Mauka] (stop #351), and Pali Highway / Kepola Place (stop #352), will be closed on FRIDAY, JANUARY 20, 2023, THROUGH FRIDAY, JANUARY 27, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Passengers may board buses at the portable bus stops located on Pali Highway adjacent to closed bus stops.

HECO will be performing emergency work for pole removals and replacements on King Street between Liliha Street and Desha Lane, on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The bus stop located at King Street / Liliha Street (stop #987), will remain open during the utility work. This emergency work will affect the traffic flow through the area, and will cause delays throughout the duration of the work.

In an effort to preserve the availability and capabilities of security forces, and reduce traffic to and from the base, operations will be reduced at the JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR - HICKAM KUNTZ GATE. Buses will be detoured weekdays from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and all day on weekends, starting on WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 11, 2023, until further notice. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY – HEEIA STREAM BRIDGE STREET LIGHT IMPROVEMENTS The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Design and Construction (DDC) will be conducting upgrades to the Heʻeia Stream Bridge. The construction work will start at 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, on OCTOBER 25, 2022, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. The work crews will begin making modifications to the bridge to install new streetlights. The roadway will remain open during the construction work.
