HICKAM MAIN GATE (DETOUR) 

Due to the new security procedures at HICKAM MAIN GATE buses will be detoured starting on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2018, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE 19, WAIKIKI-AIRPORT-HICKAM 

Eastbound:   No detour. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to O’Malley Blvd/Hickam Main Gate, continue on O’Malley, right Freedom, left Vandenberg, and then resume the regular route. 

 

 


KA IWI COAST RUN/WALK 

The KA IWI COAST RUN/WALK will be held on SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2018.  Traffic lanes on Kalanianaole Hwy. will be closed from Kealahou (Sandy Beach) to Hanauma Bay Beach Park. The event is expected to have 1,000 participants.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the egular route to Kalanianaole/Hanauma Bay Beach Park (Exiting), left Kalanianaole, right Lunalilo, right Hawaii Kai, right Kealahou, left Kalanianaole, and then resume the regular route.  

Westbound:  No detour. 

 


The Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation Triathlon will be held on SATURDAY, NOVEMber 17, 2018.  The bike course will begin at the Kamakee entrance to Ala Moana Beach Park and finish at Kaneohe MCBH.

ROUTE 7, KALIHI VALLEY

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Mokauea/Kalani, left Kalani, left Kalihi, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  No detour.

ROUTE 9, KAIMUKI-PEARL HARBOR

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Valkenburgh/Bougainville, right Bougainville, left Radford, left Kamehameha, onto Nimitz, and then resume the regular route after crossing Valkenburgh.

Westbound:  No detour.

ROUTE 10, KALIHI-ALEWA HEIGHTS

Eastbound:   From the temporary terminus at Mokauea/King (Zippy’s), TheBus will continue on Mokauea, left Dillingham, right Kalihi, right Nimitz, right Mokauea, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Mokauea/King, and terminate at the stop. (Zippy’s)

ROUTE 19, WAIKIKI-AIRPORT-HICKAM


Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to King/Punchbowl, continue on King, right Kapiolani, right Atkinson, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Nimitz/Puuhale, right Puuhale, left Dillingham, onto Nimitz and then resume the regular route after passing Nimitz/Kakoi.

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to King/Punchbowl, continue on King, right Kapiolani, right Atkinson, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.

A.M. Operations:  TheBus will travel the regular route to the H-1/Viaduct, continue on H-1, take EXIT “23 PUNAHOU ST,” right Punahou, right Beretania, left Kalakaua, right Kapiolani, left Atkinson, left Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route.


KANEOHE MARINE BASE MOKAPU GATE CLOSURE 

The Mokapu Gate into Kaneohe Marine Base will be closed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week effective THURSDAY, JANUARY 18, 2018, until further notice.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to N. Kalaheo/Mokapu Rd., continue on N. Kalaheo, onto Kaneohe Bay Dr., right onto access to Kaneohe Marine Base, onto John A. Burns Fwy., enter Main Gate, onto St., right Mokapu, right Harris, right Selden, veer left on 3rd St., left St., exit base onto John A. Burns Freeway, right EXIT 15 KANEOHE BAY DRIVE, right Kaneohe Bay Dr., onto N. Kalaheo, and then resume the regular route. 


FARRINGTON HIGHWAY P.M. CONTRAFLOW 

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
