SPRING STREET JAM 

The SPRING STREET JAM will be held on SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2019.  The event will close all lanes on Kalakaua Ave. between Seaside Ave. and Uluniu Ave. starting at 12:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

MARCH FOR BABIES 

The MARCH FOR BABIES, sponsored by the March of Dimes, will be held on SATURDAY, APRIL 20, 2019 with road closures starting at 6:30 a.m.  The run/walk will start at Kapiolani Park, turn around at the first lookout on Diamond Head, and return to the Honolulu Marathon finishing line at Kapiolani Park.  There will be approximately 5,000 participants. TheBus will service all bus stops along the detoured route.

SALUTE TO YOUTH PARADE

The SALUTE TO YOUTH PARADE will be held on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17, 2019. Roads will close from about 5:30 p.m. and the parade is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. The parade will begin at Fort DeRussy and proceed east along Saratoga, onto Kalakaua, onto Monsarrat, and end at Kapiolani Park. During the parade, there will be no westbound service on Kalia Rd.  Westbound passengers will need to change to westbound buses at Ala Moana/Ena Rd.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Westbound:  From the temporary terminus on Leahi, TheBus will travel right Monsarrat, right Paki, left Kapahulu, right Kuhio, onto Kalakaua, right Pau, left Ala Wai, left Niu, onto Ala Moana, and then resume the regular route after crossing Ena. 

ROUTE 14, ST. LOUIS-MAUNALANI 

Eastbound:   TheBus will travel the regular route to Kapahulu/Ala Wai, right Ala Wai, left Ohua, left Kuhio, left Kapahulu, right Leahi, right Noela, left Paki, right Kalakaua to make a left U-turn at the Dillingham Fountain, left Kalakaua, and then resume the regular route east.

MAKAHA BRIDGE REPAIR 

There will be emergency MAKAHA BRIDGE REPAIR which will require a closure of Farrington Hwy, between Upena St. (west) and Kili Dr., on all Saturdays during the month of April. Buses will be detoured starting at 8:00 p.m. SATURDAYS, APRIL 6, 13, 20, & 27, 2019, through 6:00 a.m. SUNDAYS, APRIL 7, 14, 21, & 28, 2019.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

ROUTE C, COUNTRY EXPRESS! C

Eastbound:   From The temporary terminus at Farrington/Upena (west), TheBus will continue on Farrington and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Farrington/Upena (east), left Upena (east), right Widemann, right Upena (west), right Farrington to the temporary terminus at Farrington/Upena (west). 

 


KANEOHE MARINE BASE – FRONT GATE CLOSURE 

The Kaneohe Marine Base will be installing a new security shade structure at the H-3 entrance gate starting on MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2019. All inbound traffic will be diverted through the outbound lanes and all outbound traffic will be diverted to the Mokapu Gate. Buses will enter through the Main gate, off of the H3, and exit through the Mokapu Gate 24 hours day/7 days a week until further notice.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

Honolulu-bound Route 60/65 buses will operate normally and utilize Pali Hwy. from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Monday thru Friday (except holidays). 

Eastbound:   HONOLULU-BOUND SERVICE DURING NON-CONTRAFLOW HOURS

When Pali Hwy is closed, Honolulu-bound Route 60/65 buses will detour onto Likelike Hwy after servicing stop #1765 fronting Kaiser Medical Clinic in Kaneohe and will resume normal routing at Pali Hwy/Vineyard stop #1270 as follows:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Luluku, right Luluku, right Anoi, left Likelike (Does not service Likelike/School), onto “H-1 EAST FREEWAY,” take EXIT 21 A “PALI HWY,” right Pali, and then resume the regular route.  NOTE:  Honolulu-bound passengers that need to board/alight along Kamehameha Hwy between Kamehameha/Luluku and Castle Junction may change to windward-bound Route 56/57/57A or Route 69 buses at stop #1765 fronting Kaiser Medical Clinic in Kaneohe.

Eastbound:   DETOUR WEEKDAYS FROM 3:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.

TheBus will travel the regular route to Kamehameha/Koolau View Dr, right on ramp onto H3 WEST “PEARL HARBOR,” take EXIT 1B EAST “HONOLULU,” onto Moanalua Freeway, onto H1 EAST, take EXIT 21 A “PALI HWY”, right Pali Hwy, and then resume the regular route.

Westbound:  AFTERNOON SERVICE DURING CONTRAFLOW MON-FRI, 3;00 P.M.-7:00 P.M.

Windward-bound Route 60/65 buses will operate normally and utilized Pali Hwy from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday (except holidays) during the contraflow. 

Westbound:  WINDWARD-BOUND SERVICE DURING NON-CONTRAFLOW HOURS

When Pali Hwy is closed, Windward-bound Route 60/65 buses will detour onto Likelike after servicing stop #744 at Alakea/Hotel and will resume normal routing at Kamehameha/Koa Kahiko stop #1474.  Temporary stops have been placed at Vineyard/Pali and Vineyard/Nuuanu to service passengers from the Nuuanu area:  TheBus will travel the regular route to Alakea/Beretania, continue on Queen Emma, left Vineyard, onto Halona, onto H1 WEST “FORT SHAFTER – AIRPORT,” take EXIT 20A NORTH “LIKELIKE HWY,” onto Likelike (Does not service Likelike/School), onto Kaneohe Bay, right Aumoku, right Koa Kahiko, right Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route. 

Westbound:  DETOUR WEEKDAYS FROM 5:00 A.M.-9:00 A.M.

TheBus will travel the regular route to Alakea/Beretania, continue on Queen Emma, left Vineyard, onto Halona, onto H1 WEST “FORT SHAFTER – AIRPORT,” onto H201 WEST “FORT SHAFTER-AIEA,” onto Moanalua Freeway, take EXIT 1D “EAST KANEOHE”, onto H3, take EXIT “11 KAMEHAMEHA HWY,” left Kamehameha, and then resume the regular route.

Service when Pali is closed:  Honolulu bound Route 56/57/57A buses will detour onto Likelike Hwy. after servicing stop #1277 at Auloa Rd. and will resume normal routing at Pali Hwy./Vineyard stop #1279.  

Note: Honolulu bound Route 56/57/57A buses will service along Kamehameha Hwy. from HPU to stop #1474 at Kamehameha Hwy./Koa Kahiko St.  Passengers desiring Route 60/65 buses headed for Haleiwa or Kahaluu should transfer at Koa Kahiko St.  

P.M. AFTERNOON SERVICE DURING CONTRAFLOW 

MONDAY – FRIDAY          3:00 PM – 7 PM 

Windward bound Route 56/57/57A buses will operate normally and utilize Pali Hwy. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Friday (except holidays). 

WINDWARD BOUND SERVICE DURING NON-CONTRAFLOW HOURS 

Service when Pali is closed:  Route 56/57/57A windward bound buses will detour onto Likelike Hwy. after servicing the stop at Alakea/Hotel St. and will resume normal routing at Kalanianaole Hwy./Auloa Rd. stop # 1119.   Temporary stops have been placed at Vineyard/Pali Hwy. and Vineyard/Nuuanu to service passengers from the Nuuanu area. 

Note: Route 56/57/57A buses will service along Kamehameha Hwy. from Likelike Hwy. to Castle Junction to provide service to this area that is normally serviced by Routes 60/65. 


HICKAM MAIN GATE (DETOUR)  

Due to the new security procedures at HICKAM MAIN GATE buses will be detoured starting on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2018, from 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m., UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.    TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

The Farrington Hwy. Afternoon Contraflow will begin on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10, 2016, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The eastbound lanes along Farrington Hwy. will be reduced to one lane and will restrict left turns onto Nanakuli Ave.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.
