ONIPA’A 129TH COMMEMORATION AND PEACE MARCH

The ONIPA’A 129TH COMMEMORATION AND PEACE MARCH, will be held on MONDAY, JANUARY 17, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The procession will start at Mauna’ala Royal Mausoleum, left onto Nuuanu, continuing to Beretania, left onto one makai lane of Beretania, right into the kokohead lane of Richards, left onto one mauka lane of King, and finish at the Iolani Palace. HPD will close the makai travel lanes of Nuuanu Avenue, from Wyllie Street to Beretania Street.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY PARADE

The DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. DAY PARADE will be held on MONDAY, JANUARY 17, 2022.  The parade will commence at Ala Moana Park, proceed onto Ala Moana Blvd., onto Kalakaua, onto Monsarrat, and end at the Waikiki Shell parking lot.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

CRANE LIFT ON QUEEN STREET

NORDIC CONSTRUCTION will be doing a crane lift on Queen Street and a portion of it will be closed between Alakea Street and Mililani Street, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., on SATURDAY, JANUARY 15, 2022, AND SUNDAY, JANUARY 16, 2022.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

PEARL HARBOR MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY PARADE 

The PEARL HARBOR MEMORIAL ANNIVERSARY PARADE will be held on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 7, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  The parade will begin at Fort DeRussy, proceed along Kalakaua to Monsarrat, and terminate at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand parking lot.  During the parade, there will be no westbound service on Kalia Rd.  All westbound passengers should board buses on Ala Moana/Ena.  TheBus will service all bus stops along the detour route.

2021 HONOLULU MARATHON – EXTRA BUS SERVICE

The Honolulu Marathon will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, starting at 5:00 a.m.  Due to the number of marathon runners returning to their Waikiki hotels from Kapiolani Park, four (4) extra buses will be scheduled to provide one-way service via a modified Route 8, westbound, from Monsarrat/Kalakaua to Kalia/Maluhia (Hilton Hawaiian Village).
